Public Holiday: Netizens flays FG over additional day

Some netizenes across Nigerians have described the addition of Thursday as a Public Holiday for the celebration of this year Eid.

The extension made some Nigerians happy, while some view it as negative, saying it’s unproductive and spell doom to the nation economy.

First Post reports that federal government had approved additional day a public holiday to celebrate this years Eld-El-Fitr, which saw tye public holidays extended from Tuesday to Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Reacting to the extension via social media, some Nigerians opined that too nuch holidays in a country like Nigeria will made negative impact on its economy.

A social media user identified as Kabir Garba posted on his Facebook, saying, “I am a Muslim, but I don’t think too much holiday is good for us. I can’t imagine doing three days off just to celebrate Sallah,” he said.

First Post however observed that some Nigerians are happy with the extension.
