His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR launched the Kano State Comprehensive Modelling Project on Improvement of Diatery Diversity in Kano State, which is in partnership with UNICEF, at an event today at the government house with the UNICEF Zonal Officer, Miss Zohra Nissi.
In a statement by Salihu Tanko Yakasai, the Special Adiver to the governor on Media, he said that governor Ganduje stated that last year, the state had spent over N350Million on malnutrition, and another N350Million has been released for this year. With Dangote Foundation promising to also add additional N1Billion in order to assist the state government.
Kano State was chosen by UNICEF as a pilot state fot the partnership because of its commitment and effort in addressing the issue of malnutrition in the country.
