Juventus interested in signing Man United defender

Juventus are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, according to Sky Sports.

Darmian only played 18 times in the Premier League last season, but was a starter in the Europa League final as Manchester United beat Ajax.

However, the Italian has never truly settled in England, and rumours last summer linked him with a move back to Serie A.

Now, Juventus are reportedly interested, spurred on by Dani Alves’ imminent departure.

However, Sky Sports do also mention that Juventus are looking at Danilo of Real Madrid and Fabinho of Monaco, both of whom would make more sense than Darmian.

United would presumably look to at least make their money back on Darmian, who cost them £12.7m in 2015.

Finally, it is worth pointing out that this is a classic ‘Sky Sources’ trick from Sky Sports, given that these Juventus links came from Italy initially.
