Improve agriculture to reduce unemployment – Sanusi

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II has advised the federal and state governments to improve the agriculture sector to address unemployment in the country. He spoke in Bauchi yesterday at a pre-Ramadan lecture organized by the Bauchi chapter of the Association of Muslim Professionals.

The emir, represented by Sarkin Shanun Kano, Hassan Mohammed, noted that the nation’s economy had been driven by agriculture before oil was discovered.

Bauchi Governor Muhammad Abubukar, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Community Relations, Ado Sarkin Aska, urged the association to partner with the state government for effective propagation of its activities, Daily Trust reports.
