Wife of Kano State Governor Professor Hafsat Ganduje has been conferred with Garkuwar Matan Najeiya Award presented by Inuwar Matan Tijjaniyya Da Faidha.
Speaking during the Maulud Celebration held at Sheik Ahmad Tijjani Juma’at Mosque Kofar Mata and organized by Inuwar Matan Tijjaniyya Da Faidha, Hafsat Ganduje expressed happiness for the prestigious award and pledged her suport for the development of the association.
Hafsat Ganduje who was ably represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad commended the association for its humanitarian activities aimed at improving living standards of the common people in the state.
Earlier, leader of the association Sayyada Fatima Muhammad Tahir said, presentation of the award to Hafsat Ganduje was in recognition of of her achievements towards improving the lives of women in the state and the country as a whole.
Sayyada Fatima then spoke extensively on life and times of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani R. T. A and encouraged Muslims to emulate his life style.
Receiving the cash donation of one million naira offered by Her Excellency Hafsat Ganduje, Fatima expressed appreciation and pledged to use it judiciously.
Present at the event include Sayyada Ummuhani Sheikh Ibrahim Inyas R. T.A and representatives of Ministry for Religious Affairs among others.
