Over 30,000 Nigerians have participated in the #BBNaija season 5 audition which was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The BBNaija season 5 is set to premiere on Sunday, July 19.

“Ready or not,here it comes. #BBNAuditions coming soon. Are you ready for the #BBNaija fever?”

Housemates for the yet themed season will be selected from the show’s first ever virtual auditions held in May 2020.

Season five promises 90 days of unlimited television drama to be filmed in Nigeria.

This was revealed in a statement by Multichoice Nigeria, the organizers of the reality TV show.

Due to the restrictions necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, this season held online auditions with a record 30,000+ Nigerians participating”

The organizers also disclosed that this is the highest number of auditions they have ever received in the history of the show.

The potential housemates for the yet to be themed season are being quarantined in line with the NCDC safety protocols ahead of the show’s premiere on Sunday, July 19. The housemates will be put through a rigorous medical test as well as COVID-19 test before they will be allowed into the Biggie’s house, as reported by Daily Trust.
