The distinguished Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Senator Suleiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, OFR, has successfully completed and commissioned a new hospital in Zarewa, Rogo Local Government Area.
During the official handover of the hospital to the local government, the Senator’s representative, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar Bullet, revealed that the facility is equipped with 40 beds to accommodate patients and enhance access to quality healthcare in the community.
Alhaji Bullet further emphasized the Senator’s unwavering commitment to advancing the well-being and development of his constituency, highlighting this project as part of his broader efforts to improve healthcare system in the region.
In his remarks, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator, Hon. Auwal Muhammad Kofa, highlighted the extensive modern medical equipment installed at the hospital, numbering over 105 units. He added that the Senator has pledged to sponsor a consultant doctor to oversee the hospital’s operations until the end of his tenure, ensuring the facility operates at its highest capacity.
The Secretary of Rogo Local Government, Alhaji Magaji Beli, who represented the council chairman, expressed profound gratitude to Senator Kawu for his exceptional contribution to the area. He commended the quality and impact of the hospital project, describing it as a significant milestone in the development of the local government’s healthcare system.
The commissioning ceremony was well-attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, religious scholars, civil society organizations, and members of the community, who praised Senator Kawu’s dedication to addressing their healthcare needs.
