FRENCH president Emmanuel Macron has entered self-isolation for seven days after testing positive for the coronavirus.
A statement said from the Élysée Palace said Macron had taken a test after showing the initial symptoms of the virus.
Macron is just the latest in a string of world leaders to test positive for the virus.
It comes as France began lifting a strict lockdown imposed following a spike in cases in the country.
