Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kano state has on Tuesday evening, warned the newly sworn Commissioners that his administration will not condone any act of corrupt practices, urging them to be sincere and focused.
Mr Ganduje who handed down the warning shortly after assigning portfolios to the new Commissioners at Indoor Sports Hall, Sani Abacha Stadium.
The Governor reminded them of the Kano state anti-corruption commission which is ever ready to beam its searchlight on any erring Commissioner.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate you on the new appointment but you are required to measure up to expectation and do all what you can do to move Kano state to the next level,” he said,
The governor further charged the new commissioners to work with their permanent secretaries and directors to ensure effective service delivery, called on them to ensure that the budget was implemented to the latter.
According to him, their appointment was based on their track record of service and urged them to contribute their quota towards the development of the entire state, Prime Time reports.
He urged them to remain focused, honest and work together with their Permanent Secretaries for the overall development of the state.
Ganduje urged them to ensure effective implementation of the yearly budget so as to actualize the Next Agenda of his administration.
