The Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JNPSNC) has honored Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, with a prestigious award for his outstanding commitment to the welfare of public servants through the successful implementation of the consequential adjustment to the national minimum wage.

The award was presented by the Kano State Head of Civil Service, Abdullahi Musa, on behalf of the JNPSNC during a ceremony on Monday.

The recognition was announced in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The governor further urged other states that have yet to implement the minimum wage adjustment to follow suit, emphasizing that investing in workers is critical to achieving sustainable development and increasing productivity.
