Lawmaker donates N32M Generator to boost water supply in Kano

The Bichi community in Bichi local council area of Kano State on Tuesday heaved a sigh of relief, as the member representing Bichi federal constituency, Engineer Kabir Abubakar Bichi, donated a 500KV generator to boost public water supply at Watari Water treatment plant in the area.

According to him, the donation was intended to solve the 40 years old water scarcity which affects the entire community and other neighboring local government areas.

The lawmaker also handed over the generator to commissioner for water resources, Alhaji Sadiq Wali and the management team of state water board.

The lawmaker expressed hope that the generator he was donating to the community, would help to improve the sagging water supply to the rural community.

The lawmaker donated 500 KVA Generator worth N32 Million and handed over to Kano State Water Board.

Engineer Bichi who is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on works, donated the generator which would be use at Bagwai Water Treatment plant in order to boost supply of water in Bichi Federal Constituency.

Bichi appealed to the community leaders to “jealously guard the equipment because it is far better to add new things to what you have, than to replace things you earlier acquired”.

All the people that spoke during the outing, commended the lawmaker for “putting the people first at all times and this helped in no small measure to ensure the All progressives Party (APC) victory in the community”
