The newly established Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASSAA) has set a revenue target of ₦1.5 billion from billboards and branded vehicles between September and December 2025.
The agency, created to regulate and generate income from outdoor advertising, is expected to boost the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR) by streamlining operations in the sector.
Officials of KASSAA said the four-month target would be achieved through licensing, regulation of outdoor billboards, monitoring of branded vehicles, and enforcement of compliance by advertising agencies and business owners.
According to the agency, the move is part of the state government’s broader strategy to strengthen revenue generation without overburdening citizens.
If the target is met, Kano will become one of the leading states in Nigeria in terms of IGR from outdoor.
