The operatives of Hisbah in Kano State have arrested a 23-year-old man, Suleman Musa, for allegedly raping three sisters of the same parents.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday, December 27, at Kurnar Asabe area of Kano metropolis.

It was also gathered that Mr Musa came to the area as Qur’anic school pupil, and later started running errands to the parents of the victims (names withheld).

A neighbor who preferred not to be named stated that Mr Musa took advantage of the unfettered access given to him to the house to commit the act.

He added that nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was caught in the act, defiling one of the girls.

According to the neighbor, they later discovered that he serially raped all the three siblings by threatening to kill them with a knife.

Confirming the incident on Friday, the Dala Local Government Hisbah area commander, Abubakar Salihu, said the suspect used knife to threaten and force each one of the girls to commit the act.

He said one of them was taken to the hospital after complaining of stomach cramp, and doctors discovered that she was raped.

Speaking to journalists, the suspect confessed to the crime, but prayed to God to guide him to the right path.

“Yes, I did it. I don’t have to deny it. But I pray to God, to guide me and others who are doing the same thing. I have not been fair to myself and I know even God will not spare me,” he confessed.

The Hisbah officer said the suspect has been handed over to police for investigation and prosecution.
