The Kano State Government has inaugurated an eight-member committee to investigate the controversial bail of alleged drug baron, Sulaiman Aminu Dan Wawu, reportedly facilitated by the Commissioner of Transportation, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Namadi.
The committee, chaired by Barr. Aminu Hussaini, was inaugurated on Sunday by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
It has one week to submit its report.Other members include legal experts, academics, civil society leaders, and retired security officers.The Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, said the committee was set up to ensure transparency and accountability.
The chairman pledged a professional and objective investigation.
