Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has approved the payment of N104,362,090.00, for NECO examination, the sum of which has already been paid to the National Examination Council (NEC).
In a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State, Abba Anwar he said the sum was paid yesterday Monday 15th March, 2021, and has since been acknowledged by the Examination body.
“With this payment, students from the state will now get their results released.”
Kano A Yau had earlier reports that for over two months after, more than 70,000 Kano State candidates who sat for the October/November 2020 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) were yet to see their result over the failure of the government to pay registration fees.
