Tragedy on Tuesday struck the city of Kano State as unknown gunmen kidnapped an expatriate engineer at the construction site of Dangi underpass bridge.

Eyewitness said the incident occurred at about 7.40am.

The eyewitness said the gunmen, numbering four were said to have shot dead the driver of the expatriate before abducting the expatriate.

The eyewitness added that Policemen arrived at the scene and took the corpse of the driver to mortuary.

The Kano Police command, through its spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna confirmed the incident, saying it would give details later.
