The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna on Monday commences hearing in the suit filed by Kano PDP governorship candidate, Abba Kabir Yusuf challenging the electoral victory of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Solacebase recalled that the governorship election petition tribunal headed by Justice Halima Shamaki had on October 2 upheld the electoral victory of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

The PDP and its governorship candidate Abba Kabiru Yusuf, not comfortable with the judgment appealed the ruling.

Barrister Ma’aruf Yakasai is representing one of the defendants, Abdullahi Ganduje, Barrister Bashir Yusuf Tudun Wuzirci is representing one of the petitioners, Abba Kabir Yusuf and Abdulkarim Maude Minjibir stand for INEC, another defendant in the suit.
