The pubisher and Editor-in-chief of the Daily Nigeria, Jafaar Jaafar, has agreed to appear today before a Kano State House of Assembly panel investigating the authenticity of otherwise of a video clip portraying Governor Abdullahi Ganduje as allegedly collecting bribe from contractors.

Confirming the development to Daily Trust yesterday, a member of the committee, said Jaafar had communicated to the committee in writing that he would personally attend the sitting which would commence at 11.00am today

“After the invitation was extended to him, Jaafar has replied the committee in writing that he will appear before the committee on Thursday as requested by the committee.

“Equally, Jaafar has also accepted the invitation extended to his online medium, Daily Nigeria. So, both Jaafar and Daily Nigeria are expected to appear before the committee tomorrow,” said the source.

Daily Trust gathered only Jaafar and Daily Nigeria will appear before committee today.
