How KAROTA intercepts truck loaded with N25m sexual enhancement drugs in Kano

The Kano Road and Traffic Agency, KAROTA, has confiscated a truckload of men sexual enhancement drugs worth N25 million in Sabon Gari area of the Kano metropolis.

In a statement on Saturday, the KAROTA’s spokesman, Nabilusi Kofar-Na’isa, said the drugs, named Arofranil, was confiscated after an intelligence report revealed that the drug had no NAFDAC registration.

According to him, the suspected fake drug was confiscated at the New Road park, Sabongari on a fully loaded truck before distribution to the leaders at the market.

The spokesman also disclosed that the owners of the said drug had fled the area during the operation, adding that efforts were being made to arrest them.

“Over 5000 sachets of the drugs were taken into custody by the men of the agency, while efforts to apprehend owner(s) of the drug was not successful as at the time of the raid as they escaped,” the statement said.

The spokesman noted that “KAROTA, as usual, will hand over the drugs to the state’s Ministry of Health’s Task Force Committee on fake drugs for further actions.

“The Managing Director of the Agency, Hon. Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, calls for more support from the public to enable the Agency to carry out its statutory duties effectively for the good of the state.” Daily Nigerian reports.
