Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has lamented that the fight against COVID-19 is threatened by what he described as non-compliance with protocols by Kano residents.

He said the careless attitude towards outlined preventive measures by residents is worrisome, adding that the state government would collaborate with security operatives to compel residents to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols.

He said this over the weekend  while launching a virtual health technology system to stem the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Ganduje, during the unveiling of the health app, held at African House conference room located inside the state Government House said the virtual health technology would enable few workers to manage many cases of COVID-19.

According to him, the deployed technology includes a website that would give serial situation reports on the spread and management of the pandemic, Leadership reports.
