A Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan was abandoned after Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch. 

The 22-year-old player went down off the ball, which prompted his teammates to call for medical assistance. 

Medical personnel rushed to the scene, and Bove was eventually taken to the hospital. 

According to initial reports, Bove arrived at the hospital breathing unassisted but remained unconscious. 

He has since regained consciousness and is responding well to treatment. 

The match was abandoned due to the emotional state of the players. 

Several players were seen in tears as medical personnel attended to Bove. 

There has also been criticism regarding the time it took for an ambulance to arrive on the pitch.
