Muhammadu Buhari gave the orders for the illegal deposition of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

The strongman of Kano, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso confirmed this in exclusive interview with the Hausa Service of the BBC, which was monitored by Knotted post.

Kwankwaso also refered to Buhari’s imvolvement in the bloody Kano rerun elections of March 2019, which saw the then Kano PolCom being relieved of duty.

Kwankwaso’s statement confirms earlier speculation, especially given the brazen use of federal might during the illegal eviction and kidnapping of the Emir from gidan Rumfa.

Both Buhari and Ganduje swept to power in a widely disputed election, fraught with rigging and violence.
