President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed Mohammed Adamu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police, IGP.

The President made the confirmation on Thursday at the Council of State in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mr Mohammed was appointed as the acting IGP on January 15 to replace former IGP, Ibrahim Idris, who proceeded on retirement, Daily Nigerian reports.
