The Court of Appeal in Abuja has set aside the judgment of an FCT High Court which validated the ward and local government congresses conducted by an APC faction led by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau in Kano.
While upholding all the three appeals filed by the faction of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, the appellate court held that the lower court lacked jurisdiction to try the case.
The court also said the case was not a pre-election matter but an internal party matter.
Counsel to the Shekarau faction, Nureini Jimoh, SAN, said it was shocking that they lost in all the three appeals.
He told DAILY NIGERIAN that they will head to the Supreme Court to challenge the judgement.
