Hayin Banki Sudents’ Union (HABSU) has commended the people of Kaduna state, particularly the people of Hayin Banki, in Kaduna North local government area for peaceful conduct and orderliness during and after the presidential and National Assemblies election.
In a statement by the Interim Chairman of the group Ishaq Muhammad Ango, the group shows satisfaction and happiness on the general conduct of the youth, saying they exhibited a high sense of maturity.
“We had planned to stage a rally to sensitize the youth on peaceful conduct during and after the election, but unfortunately for us, we could not go on due to some reasons beyond our control. But we send out messages and banners out to the youth stressing the importance of peaceful conduct and we are glad they heed to our advice.”
The statement added that, “on a general assessment, our youth were very calm during and after the election and the atmosphere was friendly. Even when the result was announced, though there were jubilations, but the community was calm as there were no any cases of harassment.
“As the governorship and state assembly election approaches, we call on our youth to exhibit the same character because no politician is worth the blood of any body, and withought peace, there will be no development.”
